For the sixth year in a row, Cape Fear Solar Systems is proud to be named one of the top solar contractors in the United States by Solar Power World magazine. Not only was Cape Fear Solar recognized nationally, making the top 400 solar contractor lists, but they ranked number one in Southeastern North Carolina for residential solar rooftop contractors.2018 NC Top Solar Contractor

The Top Solar Contractors list is developed by Solar Power World to recognize the work completed by solar contractors across the United States. Produced annually, the Top Solar Contractors list celebrates the achievements of U.S. solar developers, subcontractors and installers within the utility, commercial and residential markets, and ranks contractors by kilowatts installed in the previous year. The 2018 list was released on July 24.

Solar Power World is very excited about the 2018 class of Top Solar Contractors,” said Kelly Pickerel, Editor in Chief of Solar Power World. “Our 2017 list showed impressive installation numbers after 2016’s huge rush to meet ITC requirements, and many companies were hesitant to show unavoidable installation dips after last year’s high. We’re happy to feature a strong group of thriving U.S. solar installers on the 2018 Top Solar Contractors list. These companies truly are at the top of their markets.”

“We are honored to be recognized for the sixth year in a row by Solar Power World magazine for our work. Our success comes from having talented, highly trained, and caring employees. Cape Fear Solar offers the highest quality of craftsmanship, products, materials, and post installation customer support,” says John Donoghue, President of Cape Fear Solar. “We only install the highest rated solar panels available made by SunPower, a US based solar panel company headquartered in California. Each SunPower solar array comes with a 25-year industry leading warranty and a life expectancy of 40 years,” Donoghue continued. “So being local is extremely important for our customers as we will have a relationship for the entire life of their solar system.”

Cape Fear Solar Systems currently employs 17 team members who installed 538.2 kWs in 2017. Since its founding year in 2007, Cape Fear Solar has installed more than 3,230 kWs of solar in Southeastern North Carolina. The company empowers home and business owners with energy independence. Cape Fear Solar customers save thousands, receive a 30% Federal Tax Credit, all while making a positive impact on the environment.
