The NC Chapter of the Sierra Club was successful in encouraging Governor Pat McCrory to proclaim June as Solar Month in North Carolina.
To celebrate NC’s rising participation in solar energy production – we are currently 6th in the US – the June meeting will feature Cape Fear Solar Systems with a seminar on solar technology, current tax credits and the local solar industry. There will be demo units on hand and lots of photos of local installations. Participants will also have the opportunity to visit a nearby solar house to see solar panels in operation and speak with the homeowners about their experience of going solar.
