How Does Solar Power Work?
Solar panels are comprised of several different materials, including a semi-conductor with a positive and negative layer--similar to a battery. When tiny packets of energy called 'photons' hit this semi-conductor, they knock electrons loose and form an electric current. This current travels along connected wires to an inverter, which converts the power from DC to AC, consumable by your home or business. Any electric needs are supplied first and any extra gets stored in a battery or sent to the grid in exchange for utility credits.

We began working with Matt Stallings our Project Developer on August 25th, 2023. We signed the contractual agreement on September 6th. Despite the short timeline, Matt guaranteed that he would meet the October 1st deadline to secure “Net Metering” with Duke Energy and have us operational by December 31st to secure the Federal Income Tax credit.
