How Does Solar Power Work?
Solar panels are comprised of several different materials, including a semi-conductor with a positive and negative layer--similar to a battery. When tiny packets of energy called 'photons' hit this semi-conductor, they knock electrons loose and form an electric current. This current travels along connected wires to an inverter, which converts the power from DC to AC, consumable by your home or business.
