As part of its SunShot Initiative, which aims to lower the costs of installing solar systems, the U.S. Department of Energy (DOE) has launched a new online training program designed to help streamline the array inspection process.
The Photovoltaic Online Training (PVOT) program is intended for building officials and electrical code officials who perform inspections on new residential PV installations, the DOE explains in a recent news alert published by the DOE’s Energy Efficiency and Renewable Energy Division.
