Cape Fear Solar provides very professional and realistic solar production estimate
We are a few weeks away from our first full year of solar power and wanted to pass along our thanks again for your professional installation and service. We have been tracking our electric usage and our solar savings for the last year and wanted to inform you of our results.
You estimated that based on our previous year’s usage that our yearly savings would be $623.00. My calculations on our “true” savings over this year (minus a couple of weeks) are $625.00. Again a very professional and realistic estimate.
Since we use our home seasonally, we are returning to the grid more solar electricity than we utilize for home electric needs. We would be interested in seeing if storing some of solar for “off-daylight” use would be saving enough to make it practical for us. You installed a 5.75 kWh system on our home in April 2016 and we are curious what a battery backup system can do for our home.
