Solar Power Panel Discussion at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Southport
A FREE presentation on solar power as an alternative energy source is set for 5:00 – 6:15 PM on Tuesday the 4th of April at the Sacred Heart Catholic Church, 5269 Dosher Cutoff in Southport.
The program “Alternative Energy Sources: Solar” is the third and final part of the series “Care for God’s Creation.”
Participants will learn about solar power in NC and Brunswick County, as well as the economic and social benefits of using renewable energy.
Program date is Tuesday, April 4 from 5:00 pm to 6:15 pm at Sacred Heart Church, 5269 Dosher Cutoff in Southport.
Panelists include:
- Len Surniak, the first St. James Plantation homeowner to install a solar system back in 2009
- John Donoghue, owner and president of Cape Fear Solar Systems based in Wilmington, NC (designed and installed the first system in St. James and to date completed 400+ solar systems in the Cape Fear area)
- Nicky Nance, renewable energy representative from BEMC (Brunswick Electric Membership Corporation)
