Since the Tesla Solar Roof accomplishes the goal of replacing your roof and producing clean energy, you can expect a more significant investment. However, the 30% federal tax credit is also available to decrease the total system cost.
Can solar shingles withstand a hurricane?
Tesla Solar Roofs are rated to withstand 166 mph winds. Our products and balance of system materials have to meet the same requirements in order to obtain the required permits and pass the final inspection. If you live in a hurricane-prone area, this is another reason to hire a local contractor experienced in designing and installing systems built to withstand the harsh coastal conditions.
